Hey, Nagisa-san. [it's good to see her up and moving. He holds out the gift box for her.]

Eh? Ah.. Thank you! You didn't have to get me anything though.. [She takes it, examining the box.] What is it?

You'll see.

[open it, Nagisa...]

Okay, I'll open it now then! [And so she'll do so! Though it's kind of a shame, since it is wrapped so nicely... Regardless, she smiles upon seeing the scarf inside.] A-ahhh, it's so nice...

[The scarf itself is polka-dotted different colors... but he's taken the liberty of sewing small eyes on each one to turn them into the kind of living dango she favors. It's a small gesture, but...] I'm glad you like it.

Mm! I love it! The polka-dots even look like dangos! Did you add those yourself? [Because she's never seen this kind of thing around before. But kyaaa she's so excited right now, Minato...]

And that makes it even more special, I think. [She loves it so much that she may even be kind of hugging it right now..! It's so cute..] Thank you very much, Minato!

You're welcome. [Nagisa you look cuter than the scarf, hugging it like that...]

[Better hug it more then! okayno.] So are you enjoying the party?

[He nods, in a manner that probably indicates some enthusiasm.]

You have a lot of friends, Nagisa-san.

Yaay, enthusiasm! She smiles.] Do you think so? I don't think I've ever been very good at making friends, so...

[Leon frets a little as he thinks about approaching Nagisa with his small gift. What if she took this the wrong way? It's not his fault that this was the most structured way for the heraldic properties to sustain themselves...

...Well, no, of course she wouldn't take it the wrong way. It was Nagisa, and she was sweet and kind and very nice about everything... But he'd be embarrassed if there was a long silence.

He groans inwardly. He had to stop psyching himself out like this. It wasn't good for his mental health.]

[Fortunately or not for Leon, Nagisa happens to notice that he does look slightly troubled. Or it appears to be something like that, anyway. Maybe he's not feeling well? Or maybe he doesn't know anyone here, so he feels awkward? Well, whatever the case may be, she'll go ahead and approach him to make sure that everything's alright.]

Hi, Leon! Um... Is something wrong?

[He tenses up, eyes widening a little as he realizes Nagisa is right there.]

H-- hey, Nagisa. [For a moment, he blanks on answering her question.

And then he completely gives up, extending one arm with the small, wrapped gift box that fits in the palm of his hand.]

Happy birthday. This is for you.

[O-oh, did she surprise him...? Nagisa tilts her head a bit at the brief silence, and almost repeats her question when Leon holds out the box. Oh, a gift? She takes it, looking at the wrapping a bit before turning her attention back up to Leon and smiling.]

Thank you, Leon! You didn't have to get me anything though.. [dammit everyone. Making her feel guilty.] What is it?

It's your birthday, though. And, you know, since you had a party and everything, it seemed weird not to. [He's just trying to justify himself. ...Yeah.] J-- just open it. I hope you like it!

[And he really does hope she likes it, considering what it is. Inside the little gift box is a small double-banded ring that has a rainbow-like sheen in the light. Leon tries to explain so he can stave off any uncomfortable silence.]

It's called a healing ring. It-- it has restorative properties that refresh a person while they walk around.

I'm happy enough being able to see you and everyone else, so it wouldn't have been weird. [Reaaaally.] I'm sure I'll like it though!

[And she does indeed like it. At first she's a little taken aback because of what it is and how it's pretty much the last thing she was expecting, so Leon breaking the awkward silence definitely helped! Except she can't help but be at least a little confused by it since she's still easily confused about this magic stuff. (ie. how does a ring do that..)]

A-ahh really? It can do that? [That's so cool...]

Y-- yeah. I believe it's because of the properties of the rainbow diamond, the gem it's created from. The, uh, rainbow diamond has pretty incredible strengthening properties. [He shifts a little, something else coming to mind.] I wasn't sure about the size. Um, you should be able to wear it on a chain if it doesn't fit on your finger.

Rainbow diamond..? I see... Thank you, Leon! [That will probably prove to be rather helpful.

She looks back at the ring again.] Mhhhm, that's a good idea! But I think it'd be able to fit, maybe.. Umm.. [Contemplating whether or not to try that out now. Hmm.]

[He's slowly calming down now. She likes it. She doesn't seem to think it's weird. Good.] You're welcome. I hope it helps you... You know, when you're really not feeling well.

[cherishedmiracle]

[Good! She wouldn't want for him to be worried, after all.] Mm, I'm sure it will. Maybe I'll even get over this illness faster now!

[At least she hopes so. But if Leon says that's what it does, then Nagisa won't doubt it. Even if she doesn't understand how a ring can do that, or how that kind of magic works in general. In fact, she'll go ahead and try it out now! May as well.]

[He smiles a little more, especially when Nagisa talks about her illness.] I hope so. I can't imagine being stuck inside like this if you'd rather be outside and doing things.

Well, it's not too bad.. [Kind of.] It did happen a lot at home; I'm kind of used to it. And since I do have Kotomi-chan and Fuu-chan taking care of me and keeping me company here, I don't mind it so much. I am looking forward to being able to go out again though. [So she can see all her friends again!]
