[Ever since Seto returned, Nagisa has been feeling rather down. ..Not because he's here, of course. She's happy he's here! What she isn't happy about, however, is what she had found out on that day though. Things that she just didn't remember from her childhood, which she's now aware of, and doesn't want to be. Or rather, she just wishes such a thing never happened, really. Like her getting sick as a child, which... isn't anything new for her, but the fact that she had nearly died once during one of those illnesses. And how because of that, her parents had to give up their jobs and dreams just so that they could take care of her.

...That's just not fair.

It's not fair that they had to give up on their goals just for her. It's... all her fault, really. And above all else, neither of her parents are here for her to talk to about this. She can't apologize or anything.]

[So after some thought, she decides to make a journal entry, asking something along those lines. She doesn't feel up to actually speaking aloud about this though. She'd just start crying, really. So instead, she writes it out.]

...Has anyone ever had to give up their own dreams for the sake of someone else?

[Moping around or not, food is kinda necessary in the house, so Nagisa can be found later around the plaza. First she'll go to the playground and sit around on the swings (though not.. actually swinging), and then she'll head on over to the grocery store and straight back home. She's a little out of it though, so she may just bump into someone. Oops.]

Mm... well, they gave up their careers so they could take care of me after I got really sick one time, so... it ended up getting in the way of their dreams. My parents are definitely kind, and I love them very much, which is why I feel bad that they had to do something like that for me..

... Isn't that what parents are meant to do though, take care of their children as best they can? [Not that Fuuko would really know, but her sister seemed to care a lot for her.] Maybe you're just thinking about this too much Nagisa-san. Akio-san and Sanae-san were probably very happy to do what they could.

[... Plus Akio gave off a total doting parent vibe. She could see it happening.]

I-I guess so... [And really, Nagisa would probably do the same for her own children, now that she thinks about it.] It's too bad that they aren't here though... otherwise I would be able to talk to them about it and know for sure...

It's a shame Akio-san isn't still around... [Should she be bringing up her dad like this? Uhm.] Maybe someday they'll show up here and you can tell them then Nagisa-san, as bad as that might be. [But then would you rather know the truth at the cost of your parents being experimented on, or never know but your parents stay safe? Live or die. Make your choice.]

[She nods, not really saying anything on the bit of Akio not being around anymore. She hadn't gotten much of a chance to even see him while he was here, so...]

Mm... Maybe... But at the same time, I don't know how fair it would be for me to want them to get stuck here as well just so I could talk to them about it..

It would be for more than just talking to them about that though! You could have all sorts of fun with them if they showed up, like playing baseball together and hitting a home run! [Oh sniff family. She misses all the family stuff. Getting her hair brushed, taking baths with Sanae. Sob.]

It would be nice to have them here so we could do all of that, but... I would feel bad if they ended up being stuck here like we are. Especially if they end up not liking it here at all, like.. l-like Okazaki... He wasn't happy here at all.

W-Well... How could they not like it here if you're here Nagisa-san? They would be happy just being able to see you and spend time with you. [...] Not saying Okazaki-san wasn't happy to see you though, Fuuko is sure he was very happy to be with you in his time here.

[Nagisa looks down for a moment.] I-I don't know... but I know Okazaki and many other people don't, s-so... they may not either, even if I am here.

You're more than enough of a reason by yourself for people to like it here you know Nagisa-san! Fuuko likes it here an awful lot because you're here, and Kotomi-san too.

O-oh... Really..? Um... Thank you very much then, Fuu-chan.. I'm glad to hear that. [In fact, she even smiles a bit at that.]

Fuuko would be worried if you didn't feel glad upon hearing that. Never think you're not a reason for people to be happy, because you are to someone, even if you don't know who Nagisa-san. [Nod nod.]
