[Ever since Seto returned, Nagisa has been feeling rather down. ..Not because he's here, of course. She's happy he's here! What she isn't happy about, however, is what she had found out on that day though. Things that she just didn't remember from her childhood, which she's now aware of, and doesn't want to be. Or rather, she just wishes such a thing never happened, really. Like her getting sick as a child, which... isn't anything new for her, but the fact that she had nearly died once during one of those illnesses. And how because of that, her parents had to give up their jobs and dreams just so that they could take care of her.

...That's just not fair.

It's not fair that they had to give up on their goals just for her. It's... all her fault, really. And above all else, neither of her parents are here for her to talk to about this. She can't apologize or anything.]

[So after some thought, she decides to make a journal entry, asking something along those lines. She doesn't feel up to actually speaking aloud about this though. She'd just start crying, really. So instead, she writes it out.]

...Has anyone ever had to give up their own dreams for the sake of someone else?

[Moping around or not, food is kinda necessary in the house, so Nagisa can be found later around the plaza. First she'll go to the playground and sit around on the swings (though not.. actually swinging), and then she'll head on over to the grocery store and straight back home. She's a little out of it though, so she may just bump into someone. Oops.]

[Oh. Nagisa looks down briefly, but then smiles as best as she can..!]

O-oh, um... I was upset earlier, but I'm feeling a little better now..

[ It's okay, Nagisa, you don't even have to pretend that much. Kotomi is pretty oblivious, after all, even now - it's a wonder she even caught on to this much. ]

Is there anything Nagisa-chan would like to talk about? We're.. friends, after all.

I would feel bad bothering you with it, Kotomi-chan... b-but if you really don't mind, I could talk to you about it..

Nagisa-chan would never bother me. [ shaking her head a little.. and then she's just sitting down on the ground. STORY TELLING TIME?! ]

Go ahead and tell me, Nagisa-chan.

[ patting the ground too, as if she's telling Nagisa to sit down there.. ]

[Alright then..! Nagisa gives Kotomi a small, grateful smile, and then sits down beside her.]

Thank you, Kotomi-chan... Um... [Actually, she's a little curious first, since she has yet to know what 'time point' Kotomi comes from, so...] Have you met my parents before, Kotomi-chan..?

[ a small nod is the answer, although barely - only from the garden party, sob.. ]

I do. Nagisa-chan's father seemed like a very.. lively person.

[That's something..!]

I see... he is a very lively person. [She smiles. Oh, dad..] Um... He used to be an actor, actually...

Really? [ headtilt, she's thinking about this now.. ]

... That does seem like something a person like him would do.. it suits him.

[A nod.]

Yes... but when I was little, he had to give that up... and my mother had to give up her job too, both so that they could take care of me. I got really sick once and they felt bad since they were out at work at the time, s-so..

[ To Kotomi.. hearing that actually is more like what she would always have wished until she realised that was just her own selfishness too - for her parents to spend more time with her instead of going away when it was really important, but.. ]

And.. that makes Nagisa-chan feel bad?

[Knowing what Kotomi's past has been like, Nagisa wonders how she feels about it, but... she nods.]

..Y-yes, it does... I feel like they shouldn't have had to give so much up for me, after all.

But.. they're Nagisa-chan's parents, right? I'm sure they would just want to be with Nagisa-chan most since you're their daughter..

I talked to a number of people about it earlier, and it seems like it was just that... Even then though, I still do feel really bad about it.

[ for a few moments she stares, but then she talks on. ]

Nagisa-chan. Do you think your parents are happy..?

Um... [hm..] I've always thought they they are, since they do seem that way, but... after hearing about all of this, I wonder whether or not they really are..

... Hmm.. I think Nagisa-chan's parents seemed very lively. And they must be that lively since they're really, really happy.

[cherishedmiracle]

Mm... Do you really think so, Kotomi-chan..?

[etudes]

[ a small nod. ]

Doesn't Nagisa-chan think they're very lively and seem very happy as well?

[cherishedmiracle]

[After a pause, Nagisa returns the nod. They could always be faking that liveliness and happiness, but... she's not sure if her parents would actually do that.]

...Yes, I suppose so... They do seem really happy most of the time.
